  Cochin - Munnar

  

  Upon arrival at the airport or railway station, you will be warmly received and transferred to your vehicle for a scenic drive to Munnar. As you journey from the coastal plains into the hills, feel the refreshing change in climate—from warm, humid air to cool, pleasant mountain weather. En route, enjoy short stops at the picturesque Cheeyappara and Valara Waterfalls, where cascading waters and lush greenery create perfect photo opportunities. Continue your drive through winding roads surrounded by tea plantations and misty valleys. In the afternoon, you may visit a traditional spice plantation to experience Kerala’s aromatic spices, followed by optional activities such as Wonder Valley Adventure & Amusement Park and an exciting Jeep Safari through rugged hill terrain. Later, transfer to your hotel in Munnar and relax with an overnight stay amidst the serene beauty of the hills.

    After breakfast, visit Rajamalai (Eravikulam) National Park, where you can enjoy breathtaking views of Anamudi Peak, the highest peak in South India, surrounded by rolling grasslands and scenic mountain landscapes (park closed during February and March). In the afternoon, proceed to Mattupetty Dam, stopping at Echo Point, enjoying an optional Elephant Safari, and visiting the beautiful Rose Garden along the way. If time permits, explore the Kannan Devan Tea Museum to learn about Munnar’s rich tea heritage and processing methods before returning to your hotel for an overnight stay in Munnar.

  Munnar - Thekkady

  

  Moving in a south-easterly direction, the long winding roads along the Western Ghats lead you to Thekkady, with scenic viewpoints perfect for a quick refreshment break along the way. It is advisable to book your boating ticket online in advance to avoid the rush via the official website of Periyar Tiger Reserve. In the afternoon, proceed to the reserve and enjoy a serene boat ride on Periyar Lake, where you can safely observe rich flora and fauna along the forested banks. Later, visit the Kadathanadan Kalari Centre to witness an impressive display of Kerala’s traditional martial arts and cultural performances. Overnight stay at Thekkady.

  Thekkady – Alleppey

  

  In the forenoon, proceed on a scenic drive of approximately 180 km (around 4.5 hours) toward Alleppey, enjoying the changing landscapes along the way. En route, get acquainted with the region’s rich variety of herbs and plantation crops that Kerala is famous for. Upon arrival in the afternoon, check into your traditional houseboat and begin a relaxing cruise through the tranquil backwaters. Glide past lush paddy fields, coconut groves, and charming village scenes while experiencing the peaceful countryside atmosphere. Enjoy an overnight stay onboard the houseboat, surrounded by the serene beauty of Kerala’s backwaters.

  Alleppey - Cochin

  

  After breakfast, check out from the houseboat by 9:00 AM and proceed towards Kochi. Subject to time availability, you may visit Alleppey Beach or Marari Beach before continuing your journey. By forenoon, arrive at Fort Kochi, where you can witness the iconic Chinese fishing nets and, with a bit of luck, observe local fishermen at work. Take a leisurely walk through the charming streets of Fort Kochi and admire the architectural beauty of Santa Cruz Basilica. Continue to Mattancherry to explore the historic Dutch Palace, which showcases fascinating murals and exhibits reflecting the region’s 14th and 15th century history. Stroll along Jew Street to experience its old-world charm and visit the historic synagogue and cemetery featuring Hebrew inscriptions. In the evening, head to Marine Drive to enjoy the waterfront views and, if time permits, take a relaxing boat ride through the backwaters. Later, proceed to Cochin Airport or Railway Station for your onward journey with beautiful memories of Kerala.
